The unrefined but very smooth product is yellow in color with some smoky odor, but retains all of its skin-soothing properties. Please note that our latest shipment is more yellow than previous shipments.

Is this shea butter organic, raw & fair trade?

Hi Myisha,
Our natural shea butter is not organic. It is unrefined (raw) - although the process to extract shea butter does require boiling the nut, so I'm not sure if that is the raw term you mean - and has a slightly smoky odor to it. It comes from Ghana
