Fragrance Oils
Fruity:
Berries Jubilee: Like a bowlful of mixed berries or a fragrant fruit punch. This one will wake you up!
Black Cherry: A very strong, sweet and very pleasant black cherry.
Blackberry Sage: This scent is really in demand now! An unusual blend of ripe blackberries with pungent sage notes.
Blueberry: An incredibly strong, durable, yet realistic blueberry scent.
Cactus Flower: This succulent fruit fragrance has notes of crisp apple, grapefruit, bergamot, orange, lemon, peach, mixed berries, vanilla and a hint of musk.
Citrus Splash: An explosive blend of sweet and tart elements of citrus, especially tangerine, orange, and grapefruit. This complex scent will make you say wow!
Cranberry: A great holiday scent that won't cause problems in cold process or melt & pour soap.
Cucumber Melon: We finally found a cucumber melon that does well in CP soap! A wonderful blend of fresh, watery cucumber with sweet melon undertones.
Ginger Papaya: An exotic, tropical blend of Fruit, Citrus, and Melon top notes harmonize beautifully with the rich and warm Hawaiian Ginger base, making this a truly delicious fragrance. Turns CP soap tan.
Pearberry: Sweet pears and ripe berries blend beautifully in this delightful mixture, based on B&BW's popular scent. Colors CP soap yellow.
Pomegranate: A sophisticated tart and sweet fragrance. Extremely popular now in bath and body products.
Raspberry Cream: A wonderfully smooth, creamy raspberry scent, this fragrance could also be called raspberry sorbet.
Red Apple: This scent nicely captures the pure fragrance of red (not green) apples. You can smell everything from the core to the skin in this amazing fragrance!
Strawberry Kiwi: This one is fruity, sweet and refreshing, perfect for summertime.
Floral:
Black Tea & Rose: A lovely tea rose scent, accented with the bitterness of black tea.
Gardenia: Just a nice quality Gardenia: strong yet not heavy, pleasantly sweet but not overly so. Also very easy to work with in CP soap.
Heather: A fragrant, natural heather scent, as good as any heather you'll find. Used in many Irish scents, as this flower is native to that country.
Honeysuckle: The lingering sweet, classic scent of honeysuckle. Top notes of juicy orange, green, muguet, jasmine and nuances of grape. Mid notes of lilac, honeysuckle, rose and cinnamon. Orange flower and powder base notes complete the fragrance.
Hyacinth: Heralding the arrival of spring, hyacinth is a green, sweet floral with leaf notes. Holds up wonderfully in soap, too!
Jasmine: This heady floral works well in CP soap. We experienced very mild acceleration, and no discoloration.
Juniper Breeze: A lovely, yet strong floral scent, much like the one at a certain 'bath and body' store.
Lilac: This incredible fragrance has been the number one seller for more than one soap company. Smells like we captured a lilac bush in each bottle!
Lily of the Valley: Delicate and fresh like the flower that appears in early spring, yet holds its own in soap.
Plumeria: A sweet, fresh tropical flower! Very pleasant and lightly aromatic
Rose Petals: This light and sweet rose scent makes a great addition to anyone's line of soaps or candles.
Secret Garden: A strong, sexy floral blend with notes of sandalwood, jasmine, and rose. This intriguing scent also contains a note of baby powder. This scent accelerates trace in cp soap but is well worth it.
Violet: A soft, sweet, powdery floral scent with no problems in soaping.
Spicy:
Apple Jack: A delicious blend of apples and spice, perfect for men or women. A great scent for fall!
Bayberry Spice: A great scent for the holidays. Warm and spicy with strong clove notes, this one brings back Christmas memories.
Cornucopia: A wealth of floral, fruit and warm spicy notes blend together with a delightful vanilla! Hints of jasmine and sweet orange meld into rose, cinnamon and clove mid notes over vanilla and powdery base notes. A wonderful fall scent!
Mistletoe: Wonderfully cinnamon spicy, with hints of pine and hollyberry. In a nutshell, this scent smells like Christmas.
Pumpkin Patch: A great choice for fall! Sweet pumpkin pie notes dominate, with a (not overwhelming) dash of cinnamon.
Spiced Plum: Loved by both men and women, this spicy fruit scent is especially wonderful for the holidays.
Spicy Apples & Peaches: A wonderful fall scent--cinnamon spicy but also quite light and fruity. Similar to our Apple Jack but less spicy and more fruity with a dab of peach.
Whispers of Bay: This is an intriguing blend of bay with spicy clove notes. This would be a great new men's scent, or perfect for the herbal scent lover!
Herbal:
Grapefruit & Sage: A lovely, near perfect blend of herbal and citrus scents. A subtle scent, perfect if you are looking for something unusual.
Green Tea: Light and perfumey with just a hint of lemon, this green tea lasts and lasts in soap.
Red Clover Tea: A delicious herbal tea scent, delicately sweet with notes of fruit. Unique and wonderful.
Sage Leaf: A powdery base accented with light herbal notes and sweet fresh greenery. A very unique scent that holds up great in CP soap!
Sweetgrass: An earthy herbal scent that smells very natural, not artificial. Great by itself or combined with other scents.
Musky/Earthy/Woody:
Blue Musk: This intriguing blend starts with a base of musk which is sweetened with a touch of perfume. Great for a romantic evening! Please be aware that this is a very light scent which some people cannot smell.
Cedarwood Amber: A perfect unisex blend. Warm and sensual amber undertones combine with woodsy notes with just a hint of upper floral tones. This is a strong scent in CP soap, and discolors only slightly to a light tan color.
Egyptian Dragon: Similar to the popular fragrance 'Dragon's Blood', this scent blends myrrh and patchouli with notes of rose, jasmine, and musk.
Frankincense & Myrrh: The quintessential holiday blend. Rich resinous base notes topped with Peru balsam and amber for a bit of sweetness. Subtle, yet satisfying!
Pine: A fabulous balsam pine scent with notes of spruce and other woodland scents. Smells just like a christmas tree!
Sandalwood: Smooth and earthy, this pungent fragrance oil lasts and lasts.
Food:
Almond: A strong, reliable bitter almond scent. Although it will turn CP soap brown, we actually like the scent better than most almond FOs. It has less edge and more of a cherry note to it.
Brown Sugar: With the yummy scent of brown sugar, this fragrance is a great choice for brown sugar scrubs, but smells great in soap too!
Coconut: After years of sampling and testing, we finally got it! This is a nice straightforward coconut, which may not "wow" you in the bottle but comes out smelling great in soap.
Cucumber: Refreshing, cool and green, this cucumber holds up very well in soap. Try blending with our Cantaloupe for a great cucumber-melon scent!
Dutch Chocolate: Yum, yum! This chocolate scent sweetens delightfully in a few days as your soap ages. Also colors to a light brown.
Gingerbread: This simply smells like real, fresh-baked gingerbread. You'll think someone made cookies.
Hazelnut: Wow! This smells yummy in the bottle and just gets better and more mouth-watering in soap! Colors to deep hazelnut brown, too.
Oatmeal, Milk & Honey: The perfect scent for oatmeal soap, this scent is warm and inviting, like your grandparents' kitchen on a snowy day.
Pina Colada: Very refreshing, with luscious pineapple scent over dreamy coconut!
Tahitian Vanilla: Not your ordinary vanilla! Sweet and rich with notes of rum and coconut, this fragrance colors soap a medium brown but not black like some vanillas. The butter rum element is a bit strong in the bottle but it mellows out nicely in soap.
Tuscan Wine: You will picture yourself in Italy, sitting on a sun-drenched patio, sipping a glass of wine, when you smell this fragrance! A subtle blend of wine, brandy, fruit and a touch of sweetness make this a great scent.
Vanilla Vanilla: You asked for a good, old-fashioned vanilla without all the tropical notes, and this is it! Rich and buttery, this vanilla turns soap dark brown but smells great.
Last but not Least:
Angel: A complex blend of warm scents, including vanilla, hazelnut and just a hint of cherry. Smells just like the designer perfume. Colors soap a light tan.
Baby Powder: Very soft, sweet and powdery, this dreamy scent brings back cozy memories.
Bay Rum: A wonderful and popular masculine scent that smells much better in soap than in the bottle. This is not at all spicy and is quite different than most other bay rums, so try a small amount first to see if it's for you.
Citrus Linen: The smell of fresh-washed sheets hanging on the line on a summer day, with just a hint of citrus. This scent lasts and lasts in soap.
Illumination: This is a beautifully complex Asian-inspired fragrance with notes of orange flower, Japanese lily, ylang-ylang and amber. A perfect scent for Feng Shui related products.
Love Spell (type): Building on a soft base of musk, this scent has middle notes of jasmine, peach, and berries. Top notes include orange, bergamot and mandarin. Based on the Victoria Secret perfume.
Ocean Rain: A fresh, ozony ocean fragrance together with the scent of spring rain. A natural choice for clean-smelling soap.
Essential Oils
All are 100% pure & undiluted.
Anise: Chinese Star Anise (Illicium verum). That familiar black licorice scent, which is reputed to attract fish.
Cedarwood: Pure Cedarwood Essential Oil (Juniperus virginiana).
Cinnamon Leaf: Cinnamomum zeylanicum, originating from Ceylon. A great scent but careful to go easy with it in CP soap, as too much can cause seizes.
Citronella: Incredibly potent Citronella Java from Indonesia (Cymbopogon nardus Rendle). Well-known for its mosquito-repelling qualities.
Clove Bud: Clove Bud Oil (Eugenia caryophyllata), domestic and distilled.
Cornmint: Redistilled Cornmint Essential Oil, (Mentha Arvensis). This is refreshingly sweet mint oil. In scent it is somewhere between peppermint and spearmint.
Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus 80/82% Globulus, originating from China.
Fir Needle: Pure fir needle essential oil (Abies Sibirica) from Siberia. An excellent, less-expensive alternative to Spruce or Pine EO.
Ginger: Pure Chinese ginger oil (Zingiber officinale), made from dried ginger root.
Grapefruit, Pink: Pure pink grapefruit essential oil (Citrus paradisii) from California.
Lavender: Pure, relaxing lavender essential oil (40/42 is a blend of French lavender essential oil and synthetic lavendin). Its broad appeal never seems to fade.
Lemon: Lemon Oil California Type C.p. FCC (From Inland Fruit) (Citrus limon)
Lemongrass: Originating from India, this oil is very lemony with earthy notes. This holds up better in soap than lemon essential oil.
Lime: Distilled West Indian lime essential oil. Strong and refreshing!
Litsea: Pure Litsea Essential Oil (Litsea cubeba) from China. It is also known as May Chang. This has a nice lemony scent that will hold through the soapmaking process, and help to anchor citrus EOs in soap.
Orange, Sweet: This great-smelling sweet orange (citrus sinensis) is extracted from the peel and cold pressed. It's an inexpensive essential oil because it is plentiful and produced right here in the USA.
Palmarosa: Indian Palmarosa essential oil (Cymbopogon martinii motia). This oil has a wonderful floral note to it, almost rose-like with lemony touches. This oil blends well with patchouli and is reported to have anti-stress aromatherapy benefits.
Patchouli: Even non-patchouli-lovers will appreciate the smoothness and deep amber color of this fine scent from India.
Peppermint: Great for the holidays or any time of year, peppermint is a true classic grown in the USA. Ours is redistilled, which adds to the strength and sweetness of wild peppermint.
Rose Geranium: AKA Egyptian Rose Geranium Oil. Mostly natural geranium essential oil, combined with Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol, a component found in natural rose oil.
Rosemary: Pure, strong Moroccan rosemary (rosemarinus offincinalis).
Sage, Clary: Pure Clary Sage essential oil (Salvia Sclarea).
Spearmint: This is "first cutting" spearmint (mentha spicata), comparable to redistilled peppermint. Very fresh, strong, and lasts very well in soap.
Tangerine: Tangerine Oil California Type C.p. FCC (Citrus reticulata).
Tea Tree: Australian tea tree oil (melaleuca alternifolia). Steam distilled from leaves and twigs of the tea tree plant.

Melt & Pour Soap Base
These bases are all made from a nearly all-natural formula. Ingredients: coconut, palm, castor, and safflower oils; vegetable glycerin; purified water; (coconut oil amidopropyl betaine in Crystal Clear base only); sodium hydroxide; sorbitol; sorbitan oleate; soy bean protein; and EDTA (a water softener and preservative). Titanium dioxide is added to the white, goat milk, and shea butter bases for color.
2-pound tubs in these varieties:
Clear: This is low-sweat formula which will do well even in humid conditions.
White: An opaque base with the look of cold process soap, also with a low-sweat formula.
Crystal Clear: More transparently clear than our Clear (low sweat) base.
Goat Milk: Made with 10% liquid goat's milk, this has a creamy lather and creamy custard color.
Oatmeal: With ground oatmeal for exfoliating texture, this base has a slightly darker custard color.
Shea Butter: A white soap base with 5% added naturally crushed shea butter. The shea butter gives it a creamy lather with moisturizing and softening properties.
Liquid Bases
Add 1% fragrance or essential oil if desired (any more may make it thin and runny). Recommend FD&C colors for coloration.
Bubble Bath
Ingredients: Purified Water; Ammonium Laurel Ether Sulfate; Coco Diethanol; Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate; Citric Acid; Methyl Paraben; Propyl Paraben
Lotion Base
Multibase EL-1: Standard, Goat Milk, or Shea Butter
Basic ingredient list: Glycerin, Glycol stearate, Acrylates Copolymer, Octyldodecanol, Isopropyl Myristate, Isopropyl Palmitate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteareth-14, Polysorbate 85, Water, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropanol Butylcarbamate.
Directions: Heat distilled water to 170 degrees F (no hotter or you may damage the preservative). Blend with multibase thoroughly until any lumps are smoothed out. An electric beater works well for this. The mixture may seem thinner than you want but it will thicken upon cooling. Mix in 1-2% fragrance or essential oil if desired.
Mixing Ratios:
Cream: one part base, one part water
Thick lotion: one part base, 2 parts water
Light lotion: one part base, 4 parts water
Body milk: one part base, 6 parts water
Body mist: one part base, 8 parts water (recommend adding extra preservative)
